When a reader sees something we publish differently, they can write a piece giving that perspective and we publish it too, with the same editorial treatment. Both sit here at equal weight. Nothing on this page tells you who was right.

Read both, then say which argument moved you. Neither writer wins anything — it is a reading of the room.
Waiting for a response
Every one of these is still unanswered. Click the title to read it, or pick it to respond — we will open an email with the article filled in.
Send us a proposal of around 150 words: which article you are answering, the argument you want to make, and the specific claims you are taking on. We will come back to you, and once it is approved you write the piece.
Same editorial process as any other submission. The one extra rule is that it must engage the original argument directly, rather than covering the same subject independently.
